I just got through talking with Kenny's best friend, Fabian. I think he misses Kenny just about as much as I do. I use to love to watch them to together, just like brothers. He and Kenny had been friends for years before I knew Kenny and they could stay around each other all day and never have a dull moment. They were always laughing, joking or play fussing with each other and if they did have a problem with each other it only lasted about 2 seconds and then life as usual. They would sit for hours in Kenny's shed after he had built it and crank Kenny's old truck up, drink a beer or two and talk and laugh after spendong all day together working on cars. They would talk about the same thing over and over and still acted like it was the first time they heard it. God, I miss looking out the kitchen window and watching them, couldn't hear what they was saying but it was a joy to watch. Now Fabian watches over me. Kenny left me some good people to watch over us. Thank you God not only did you bring Kenny into my life in such a special way, and all that Kenny has lefted me with the family and friends to help me with loosing the love of my life

Kenny loved movies so much! He loved all kinds, it did not matter what kind. He could tell you about the actors, what other movies they played in. We would be watching a movie and could not get through one without him calling out other movies. He about had them memorized, word for word. When his kids would come for the weekend, I would love to listen to them talk through the movie and call out what was going to happen next and wonder what they would watch next.  I miss those days!!!

When Kenny and I first got together on holidays, I would tell him not to get me nothing because it's the thought that counts. Well he took that to heart because he never did, but I didn't mind because I had him and he was my present everyday. The smile on his face could brighten my day and nothing could get me down. Kenny also done stuff for me that if I thought it he would do it. Well last year 2012, he asked me if I had to work on the 14th, Like I did not know it was Valentine's day. I ended up getting excited because of the fact that he was trying to surprise me. I ended up having to work the midnight shift at my job and told him, he said okay like it was nothing. The excitement was killing me but I played along. Finally that day came, it was Valentine's Day, so what was I getting. He had rode off with his best friend they was always finding something to do. When he finally came home around 8 that night, I was getting excited. But he came in with nothing and acted like it was a normal day, I was so disappointed but didn't show it. Then my sister called to let me know a friend of our family has passed away and that upset me. I was still waiting for a surprise but still nothing. It really didn't matter I was still upset about my friend. So I got ready for work and kissed all good night. Well I got to work and was waiting outside til my time to get on the clock, when I seen Kenny and my daughter drive up. I looked at him and said what's wrong are you okay. Next thing I knew Kenny pulled out a dozen of red roses and a teddy bear. O my heart was about to bust wide open. I hugged and kissed Kenny and told him I loved him so much. Then I asked him why did you do this how come you did not give them to me at home, He responded by saying you said you never got flowers at work before and I wanted to make sure you did. My heart melted not only did he bring me flowers, he made sure he brought them to work. I love that man so much.

When me and kenny 1st starting hanging around together as friends, it was amazing I found a real man He was living by his self and I was living by myself and 4 kids. He was looking at the house I was living in and said it he would help me fix it up. I told him I didn't have any money he said he didn'task for any. He took some stuff off and picked up some furniture I had brought from a friend. I offered him money he won't take it. He would come afte work and do some stuff around the house then I realized he did't want to go home and be alone and I also enjoyed the company. He was also so good witht he kids and they loved him so much. I would watch him work on people's cars and him not ask for any money or little money. I asked hom why do you do that you spend more on gas then you make. He would say things like well she is a single mother she can't afford it or stuff like that. I would tell him why do you keep doing this your loosing money, he would say it will come back on me what come around goes around. He had such a great heart and a true man. So many times people people would do him wrong but he never stopped. We had such great times together. Kenny was a true man with a great heart. I love Kenny so much and he is always in my heart to stay.

Kenny and I had such a special relationship, it was amazing. I remember the day I realized I was in love with him just like it was yesterday. Since the day we decided we were meant for each every moment was great with him and when we was not around each other he was on my mind. But as clear it was that day, it still is to this day. We would always wrestle and play around with each other. But there was that one day we were wrestling around and fell off the couch we were rolling around on the floor. When he just stopped and stared into my eyes and God what a feeling I had, You always see the movies where the actresses are on the beach in a romantic setting and they roll over and stare into each others eyes. Well that is how Kenny made me feel even tho we was in the middle of the living room floor, I felt like a beautiful Goddess on the beach with the most handsome guy staring me in the eyes. At that moment no one else on the face of the earth existed. And to this day when Iooked at him or thought of him chills ran down my back giving me the greatest feeling in the world. I LOVE YOU KENNY DALE ASHBY SR. YOU ARE IN MY HEART TO STAY

I met Kenny years ago, it was in the early 90's. Kenny and I never really got along and as matter as fact we couldn't really stand each other. He always had a good heart but some other things just made him seem like he didn't. But I guess that is where you should see people for who they are and not what people say about them. We really couldn't be in the same room without being saying a snide remark to one another, Well as years went by still not things were no different. Then one day he had came by the house looking for something and we got to talking and we got to know each other deeper spiritually and mentally. I told him I was sorry he asked me why. I said for judging a book by it's cover because you are nothing like I thought you was. He said he felt the same way about me. Still we were just friends after that and then our friendship turned into one of the best things that ever happened to me. I have been living in a fairytale world since then. Isn't it funny how life turns completely around,
