When I met Kenny he reminded me of an old hippie and yeah that what he was. Just wanted to take care of his family and animals. He was also a good friend and someone who could be counted to lend a hand either when asked or just because he knew you needed one. When I think of him it is out in the backyard, music playing either fixing a lawnmower, old car or just chilling out with the kids and animals. Of course there was Yeller, Gracie, and dont know the chickens name but he probably did. He was a good father, husband, and neigbor. The world is a little darker without him.

My Husband Frank Christmas passed away Feb. 4th 2011.... He was only 44....He had very very few Male Friends in his short life but I am proud to say that Kenny was one of them....Kenny and Frank were Best Buds for a few years then time and distance took over and they drifted in other directions...But Friendship never die....I was saddened to hear that Kenny passed....I know from experience that Our Loved ones are still with Us in Spirit...So ...Kenny and Frank will Always be our Angels till We All meet again some sweet Day....Rest in Peace My Friend and Keep an Eye on Frank for Me...You 2 Stay out of trouble....lololol

Uncle Kenny was there when i was young. He knew my mama either before i was born or shortly after. When i was younger he played the uncle role. Well when him and my mama got together when I was eight years old. He started playing the father role. That was the best role he played in my life. He stood and raised me like his own. After a couple of years he not only played the father role but he played the best friend role, but he knew when to play the father role and the friend role. He was tough on us but hey if he didn't then i wouldn't have gotten this far in life. Both my mama and him helped me. I might have made some bad decisions in life, but hey who don't. No matter the decision he stuck by my side everyday. I truly love and miss him everyday. Kenny has made me who I am. He taught me that it doesn't matter if you are blood you can be family anyway. I love the family i was able to have with him. He gave me more sisters, brothers, aunt, uncle, grandma, and even nieces and nephews. I love him and the whole family. R.I.P. Kenny Ashby SR>.

when i first met kenny it was july 4th 2011 danielle at the flint river and said its almost time for the fireworks and i want you to go meet my family before the fireworks start well i told danielle i was nervous a little when introduced me to uncle kenny i said myh name is darren he said nice to meet you darren then the same year towards the end of last year right around december danielle and i started hanging out at her house and i started getting to know everyone but there was something awsome bout him he just listened to what you had to say and his advise till this day he has inspired me to be better i told him bout the job i was suppose to get at the mall making leather belts well the day i was suppose to start the manager said he had somone else i told kenny bout the job and he said darren dont get discouraged that you didnt get the job you tried and its all you can do he just was a great person to talk to and im greatful i meet him and that im in danielles life
